MALAWI PRESIDENT FEARED TO BE IN HOSPITAL

Unconfirmed  reports says Malawi President Bingu Wa Mutharika has been admitted at Mwaiwathu private Hospital in the commercial capital of Blantyre after a health emergency.

According to eye witnesses  Mutharika's convoy was spotted from his Sanjika palace going to the hospital

There was heavy Police presence at the hospital and access was limited.



Feared to be in hospital 

Hospital declined to comment but government spokeswoman Patricia Kaliati told Malawi online newspaper Nyasa Times that Mutharika was in a stable condition.

However soon after the news was reported Secretary general  of  the ruling DPP party Wakuda Kamanga called for an emergency  meeting with all ministers, deputies and all  members of parliament for the ruling party

Recently there have been speculations in the media of Mutharika's poor health.
